Welcome to the Iitti Music Festival June 13–16, 2007

The Iitti Music Festival is a three-day event focusing primarily on
chamber music. It takes place mainly in the idyllic village of Iitti:
its wooden cruciform church – over 300 years old and one of the finest
of its kind in Finland – and former vicarage. The Festival culminates in
the hauling of a piano up to the site of an ancient hill fortress for a
midnight open-air concert.

Concurrent with the Festival is a summer music school for young people.

Laura Mikkola, Artistic Director of the Iitti Music Festival, is a pianist of international renown.
